Wardian, London
The Wardian, a luxury residential development overlooking Canary Wharf, comprised of two towers with a total of 766 homes, required extensive firestopping measures. Gunfire’s scope of works included firestopping to slab penetrations, corridor risers, and around lift shafts. Collars were installed to the underside of pipes to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. In addition, linear gap seals were installed through the slab to each tower, creating a barrier against the spread of fire.
Gunfire also provided temporary firestopping and waterproofing as needed during the three-year project. The complex project required careful planning and execution to minimize disruption to the residents, construction workers, and visitors.
The high-quality firestopping measures ensured that the luxury residential towers met fire safety standards and provided peace of mind for residents and the building owners alike. The project demonstrated Gunfire’s ability to deliver top-quality fire protection services on a large scale, with attention to detail and expertise in complex installations.
