Our Projects

University of
Brighton

Gunfire was contracted by FFT to carry out fire door surveys and maintenance at the University of Brighton. The project took place over a period of two months and covered multiple campuses of the university. Gunfire’s objective was to ensure that the fire doors across all university buildings were in compliance with the latest fire safety regulations, and that they would effectively prevent the spread of fire and smoke in the event of an emergency.

The project involved a comprehensive survey of all fire doors, including those in communal areas and individual rooms. Gunfire’s team inspected each door to ensure that it was correctly installed, had the right fire rating, and that all the components, such as hinges and locks, were functioning properly. Where necessary, they carried out repairs and replaced faulty parts.

The University of Brighton can now be assured that their fire doors are in full compliance with current regulations, and that their students and staff are safe in the event of a fire. The project highlights the importance of regular fire door maintenance and inspection, and the need for buildings to be kept up to date with the latest safety standards.
