Our Projects

Archway House, London

Archway House in London Docklands underwent a refurbishment project that involved the construction of a new data center within the existing office building. Our client, Buxton Building Contractors Ltd, contracted Gunfire to carry out fire stopping works to increase the fire rating to 90 minutes. The scope of our work included applying Vermiculite Spray to 109 columns, as well as applying 20mm of Nestaan Thermica SLV to improve fire protection. We also beaded the columns in the basement for both fire protection and aesthetic reasons.

The project was completed within a two-month period, and our team ensured that all the necessary safety regulations were followed during the installation process. Our work has increased the fire rating of the building, providing an extra layer of protection for the new data center and its occupants.

The Vermiculite Spray is a popular solution for passive fire protection as it provides excellent fire resistance and thermal insulation. It is made from a combination of exfoliated vermiculite, cement, and other materials. The Nestaan Thermica SLV is a high-temperature insulation material that can withstand temperatures up to 1,000 degrees Celsius. It is ideal for applications such as industrial ovens, furnaces, and fire protection. Our team of experts ensured that the products were applied correctly to provide optimal protection against fire hazards.
