Tom Laws, Rhys Boxall and Will Maunder-Taylor arrived in Leeds today for UKREiiF and dived straight in.

The day started with a session on the Building Safety Act and its impact on passive fire protection which was very interesting, and a clear sign of how responsibilities across design, construction and refurbishment are shifting.

Later, the focus turned to the Grenfell Phase 2 report which discussed accountability, trust, and the lessons the industry must continue to act on.

Alongside the talks, it’s been a great day of networking and reconnecting with others in the industry.

If you’re around and fancy a coffee or a catch-up, drop Tom, Rhys or Will a message – they’d be happy to connect.

Tomorrow we’re especially looking forward to a session about the new Higher-Risk Building framework and the challenges of delivering compliant HRB projects.
