Our Projects

Leeds City Council

Gunfire Ltd was contracted by Leeds City Council in 2014 to conduct a full Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) of its 58,000 properties, which included high-rise buildings. As a part of our scope of works, we were required to identify fire compartmentation breaches and predict the cost of remedial works. Following the assessment, we were tasked with carrying out retrospective fire stopping to 51 high-rise blocks, approximately 450 low and medium-rise blocks, over 2000 properties, and 350 communal areas. The project lasted for five years.

The successful completion of the project resulted in a significant reduction of fire hazards and a decrease in the risk of fire in the council’s properties. Gunfire’s proactive approach towards fire safety and commitment to the safety of residents helped the council to ensure that their properties were safe and compliant with fire safety regulations.

The main objective of the project was to ensure that all the properties within the council’s portfolio were safe and compliant with fire safety regulations. Our team worked closely with the council to ensure minimal disruption to residents while the works were carried out. We used advanced technology to conduct compartmentation surveys to identify fire risks and breaches, which allowed us to create a comprehensive plan to address the issues.
